Last updated: October 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how The Holt Group, Inc. (“The Holt Group,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses and shares personal information through this website. It also includes the notices required by California law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA) and the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use our project inquiry form (on a page or inside the chat), we collect your name, organization, email address, phone number, nearest office, the service you are interested in and the project details you type. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through the website.
Chat questions. Our website chat is automated and answers from the information on this website. We do not store the text of chat questions; we keep only anonymous monthly counts (for example, how many questions were asked).
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time, to operate and secure the site. We do not use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies.

How we use information
- To respond to inquiries, requests for proposals and questions
- To provide and improve our services and this website
- To keep the website secure and prevent spam and abuse
- To comply with law and protect our rights
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it and who we disclosed it to;
- Get a copy of your personal information;
- Delete personal information we collected from you;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share it);
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect it through this site); and
- Not be discriminated against for using these rights.
How to make a request. Call any of our offices or use the contact form (choose “Something else / not sure” and write “Privacy request”). We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. We will verify your request by matching information you give us with the information we have. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of the agent’s authority and verify your identity directly.
Shine the Light. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because we do not track visitors across websites or sell or share personal information, our website does not respond differently to “Do Not Track” signals. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing, which we already do not do.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), spam protection and limited staff access. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send confidential information through the website.
Children
This website is intended for businesses and public agencies and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Other websites
Links to other websites (for example, Google Maps) are provided for convenience. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page.
